Believe in Your Own Strength

Everyone needs to believe in themselves. It’s what helps us get up in the morning. It’s what helps us get to work, or continue the job search, when all we want to do is stay home and watch television. And it’s what gives us hope and inspiration to support others and make the world a better place (or just not screw it up). Believing in yourself means having the confidence to make big (or little) life changes, to choose the hard path when necessary, to take setbacks with grace, to find a lesson in tragedy or hardship.

I have spent most of my adult life boosting up my self esteem through a series of accomplishments, career opportunities, great friends, and time spent enjoying the little things that make life awesome (like ice cream and Pinterest). But with so much change in the air – buying our first house, moving to a new town, career shifts, baby turning ONE – I’m finding myself a little lost, questioning these huge life changes, and wondering what the future will bring — is this really the right thing to do? am I giving myself too much credit? Heck no!

To counteract my underlying apprehension (because wine has not worked!), I decided to start a project to remind myself of who I am and why I am so awesome. Stay tuned as it develops (we’re shooting from the hip here) here on or follow me on instagram. Join me as I boost my self-confidence, explore the things I love most about me, and get a little self-centered. It’s ok. You need it more than you think. And if anyone asks, just blame me. Comment below and link up if you are going to join in on the action. In the meantime, take lots of self-portraits and start writing your favorite things about you. It’s ok. I won’t tell!   1. Such an inspirational post! Loving yourself is something everyone needs to realize and somehow approach to help understand more about themselves.
